This year we are traveling for Christmas. We celebrated with my family the Sunday before. The day begun with the traditional dog walk.
Then we headed inside to warm up with cinnamon rolls (this recipe halved) and tea while the kids prepared the meal.
We wanted to have a frittata and hash browns. The frittata went really well (it’s one of my favorites to have with guests because you don’t have to babysit it like an omelet) but the shredded hash browns, while ultimately successful, took a lot more work.
We opened stockings and presents and laughed our way through the afternoon. All too soon, it was time to head back to our house to pack up everything for our early start the following morning.
