A New Englander in Maryland: Christmas Day Excursion to Ocean City

We took a trip out to Ocean City on Christmas Day. I’d never been before, and it was cool to see it mostly empty. I can imagine that during the summer, the place is packed! There were other people walking along the beach and the boardwalk as well, but not many. As soon as the dogs we let the dogs off leash they went swimming. Shivering, we took them to the car after enjoying the sunset.

I absolutely love Ocean City. I already live in MD, so it’s not too far of a trip for me. My fiance and I have made the trip there during the summer, the winter, and we’ve also made a day trip to watch their St. Patrick’s Day parade. Every time we go, we stay at the same place. It’s the Atlantic House Bed & Breakfast. Some people aren’t into that kind of thing, but I think it makes for a great home away from home. The owners are are so sweet and they make you feel like family. They make fantastic breakfasts and they are very hospitable. If you ever come to Ocean City, MD again, I highly recommend staying there rather than a generic hotel room.
