April Walks

We’ve finally turned the corner up here in New England and it actually seems like spring! Snow is melting, rivers are rising, mud is everywhere….

Walks in the woods have been…interesting. A combination of dry, wet, mud, ice, and a foot of snow on one particular walk left me wishing I’d worn my snowshoes! I’ve been wearing my icetrekkers over my boots to give me some grip on the ice. I didn’t want to repeat what happened last spring when both the dog and I slid down a hill.

Still, the remaining snow is pretty and I’m enjoying watching the woods (and the people) come to life.
