First Snowstorm of the Season

Although we have had some dustings of snow, yesterday marked the first storm that could be measured in inches. Although it made my morning commute very slow (I think I averaged 25mph for a 30 mile commute…) it made the outside world look all festive and white and left enough snow for me to play in.

I got out of work early to enjoy the snow and take the dog for our first snowshoe of the season. She adores snow (as long as it’s not too cold) and ran a million miles an hour in excitement. It makes me so happy to be outside with her- she’s my faithful companion in outside adventures.

We finished just as the sun was setting and stopped for just a minute to appreciate the view and the moon. I’m so lucky to live in New England and a small town where I can see sunsets and stars every day.

Here’s hoping there are many more snowy adventures coming this winter!
